Janet Jackson goes the plastic route!

Toy-maker, Mattel, has turned another one of the Jackson into plastic. The international toy company, famously known for it's Barbie line, has immortalised Janet Jackson. My question is: What the phuck for?

I know it's a good thing that black ladies are being represented but I don't if Miss Jackson would be a person I'd like my child to be around in real life? Don't get me wrong, I love Janet! Very much but I'm an adult. I understand her music because it's for GROWN folk! No child should be allowed to explore the JJ world! Therefore, I WILL not be buying this Barbie!

Shouldn't her breasts be larger than the normal Barbie standards? We all know Miss Jackson got a little more than the average girl. And are the nails painted black here? Did they include her nose ring? And I hope there's extra junk in the trunk otherwise it won't be a JJ Barbie but just an ordinary doll!

Who was involved in the design and decision making process? If there the mic wasn't in her hand, would we not know it was Janet? And who decided on THIS outfit. I'm sure Miichael's kid sister has better outfits than this.

Is Chris Brown off the market?

It seems Chris Breezy has a new girl who hopefully knows how to keep drama-free. The allegedly rehabilated woman basher had a pretty little thing keeping him company when he hosted a Thanksgiving Party in the ATL at the Velvet Room last Friday.

The lady is kinda cute. The pictures show that they were quite comfortable in each other's personal space even though she did over do the touching the celeb thing.

2010 Red Carpet Memorable Moments

It has been a helluva year especially in the celebrity fashion world. I take a look back at Red Carpet moments that got me excited. 2010 was a year of many great and not-so-great outfits.

I'm not one for leather but Amber Rose most definately pulled this one off. The tutu inspired skirt make her legs look sleeker and sexier and accentuates her beautiful silhouette. A+ for the Rose. 

I add this ensemble by Amber Rose onto my top ten favourites for 2010 Red Carpet Moments. I can't fault it. Elegant. Stylish. Beautiful

The only reason Beyonce landed on this list is because I can't seem to get this horrid image out of my mind. Mrs Carter decided to wear this mini dress which has prints that look like my old-aged neighbour's sofas. And it seems to me that her seamstress aka Tina Knowles didn't get the measurements right. There's something definately wrong around the bust. This dress is actually an eyesore 

Black Eyed Peas never land on the worst dressed list. I never thought I'd think someone dressed up as a computer game character looked cool. But alas, Will.I.Am pulled it off. The other two guys were nothing to write home about and the jury is out of Fergie's winged do.

Brandy looks so angelic here and I love the fact that this dress can double as a wedding gown.

I hope The Dream wasn't at the AMAs because there isn't anything worse than your ex seeing you looking like you're in the middle of a spa treatment. I don't understand why she wrapped her body up in foil and decided to head over to the award show. Maybe in the divorce settlement, The Dream took the stylist.

These dresses are just heavenly. They couldn't have looked any better even if they tried. Well done Diddy Dirty Money. I want both dresses. Welcome to the top ten ladies (and gent).

GQ Man of the year indeed! The black on black makes him quite the dish.

Ex Mrs Tony Parker showed off her petite stature in this twist of the LBD in satin.

Another top ten number. The one shoulder is simply elegant. It's amazing how Halle can make the Pixie cut work for 10 strong years. She's now my Hero. Lol! 

Immaculate. Stunner! So much attention went into this look without making it look overwhelming. With the right amount of jewellery accompanying that black suit, Kanye secured himself a spot at the top half of the top ten moments

This has to be my favourite of all. The tattoo look is so original, so modern, so fresh. La belle est tres tres chic. J'adore cette robe. C'est magnifique!

Marriage life has been good to her. Katy Perry look lavishly lovely with her newlywed glow. And it seems her fashion sense has matured now that she's a wifey. Mrs Brand stepping out in sytle.

This one is on my top ten list for 2010. Simple, classy, sexy and gorgeous wrapped up into one. The gold chunky ankle straps of her shoes add the 'Wow Glam' and her hair is a perfect ten. Keri definately stole more than the spotlight on the AMAs red carpet.

I don't know what exactly it is I like about this dress but I really like. Keri coordinated the clothes, hair and make-up perfectly here.

I know some people would look at this dress and not get it but it's extraordinarily gorgeous. The ruffles of the dress give her the hour glass shape every women dreams of and makes the outfit very feminine but strong at the same time.

If you know me, then you know I love the Kardashians but Khloe only has one style: Black mini dress with mid-length sleeves. Can we get some variety?! A change in colour, length, style, anything!

Ok... Is there a time that Kim Kardashian doesn't look like a million bucks? At her 30th birthday bash in Vegas, she sported this ultra sexy metallic mini dress coupled with stunning high courts. Can you say Fabulous?!

I don't know about you but Kourtney Karadshian look rather hideous. Each article of clothing is actually beautifully crafted but together, on her, it's a mess! That jacket make her breasts look like a Due South ad. The high ponytail makes her look cheap. Kourt, I <3 you but it's a no from me.

I'm putting this one on my top ten list because it was beyond outrageous. Her fashion courage is just that: brave! I would never leave the house looking that hideous. But Gaga knows how to cause a stir!  

Ne-yo's not the hottest brother out there but Nkosi yami, uyachaza uma egqoke le-sudi. Cha bandla, umona phansi. Injeza iwuqondisile ukotini. Nezichathulo zinhle. Uyiphelele nje. Kuhle ukuncoma into enhle.

Sigh... I don't have the words to go through my reaction. It's so busy, I get tired from looking at it. I quit. Moving on.

I haven't been a fan of Rihanna's fashion the latter half the year but this dress is gorgeous. I'm not everybody can pull it off though. Another person may look like a lopsided candlestick but Riri is rocking that lace!

Rihanna's comeback to the 'Oh So Fashionable Diva' list was with this red detailed lace gown she wore to the AMAs this November. She had men and women salivating as she strutted like a swan on the red carpet. Only thing to complete her beautiful look, is her beautiful beau: Matt Kemp.

*Clapping Hands* Taylor Swift looking like a model/rockstar. I'm happy about the fact that she opted for a modern chic look. I love the fact that she went a bit edge (without losing the plot) with those bangs. She gets a place on the top ten list.

The Smiths somehow remind me here of a black Adams Family; trying to hard to be different, although Jaden looks like a normal kid. Willow, on the other hand, has a long way to go before she tries the alternative look. She should ask Ming and Aoki Lee how children dress. Mama Jada's outfit also bleh!






TOP TEN! Enough Said!



Usher's going through a mid-life crisis so he went to his 1997 wardrobe and pulled this out. Maybe he shouldn't have divorced Tameka just yet.

Oh how Miley Cyrus has rushed to grown up. That dress is exquisite sans the huge trailing bow. As soon as she turns around, the big knot elimanates the beauty of this dress.

Rihanna- Still the Fashion Forward Diva?

When Rihanna stepped onto the scene, she was a young, cute but almost shy Carribbean girl giving us catchy and still innocent pop tunes?

Then we saw the Barbados beauty blossom into a woman in 2007 with the release of  her third and more edgier album, Good Girl Gone Bad. Ms Fenty donned a whole new hairstyle which saw many girls and women across the globe mimicking her hairstyles and fashion. Her clothes made statements and I think the she and the world realised that she had turned into a modern day style icon.

Rihanna is seen here -last year-  sporting her infamous razor cut hair do looking fresh as a daisy with her lemon mini skirt and sky blue blouse. To finish the look, she wore pearls and nude coloured heels. I <3 it!

 Rihanna took a step further and got a whole more edgier in 2009 accompanied with a raunchy rock-influenced album, Rated R. With racier outfits and bolder hair cuts, hr critics were silenced. Miss Riri brought back the dreaded should pads and made them work!





Reinventing herself and fashion


But now it seems, the Ms Fenty has lost her fashion sense and her stylist. New album Loud - which is mostly dance - brings us her latest transormation. But I'm not liking it one bit. It reminds me of a clown.

I cannot fault those shoes but that pleated skirt

with matching top is nothing but ugly. I think the outfit

needed a crisp white Oxford blouse with diamond necklace

to add some sparkle.

I must say that I love this whole outfit. This skirt is futuristic without going over the top. The bustier adds a sexiness element but that hair and bow just make her face look like a messy child palying dress up.



I can't understand how she walked out the store with this granny cardigan. It has become the focal point of her outfit. I think it could have worked so well - sans the brown blanket - for a summer's day



I'm not sure about this repeat ht with this ensemble at theis time of the night. I give her an A+ for the shoes.

The army boots are an obvious no-no. In fact, I hate them! I'm not totally against her two piece hi-waited floral bikini ensemble. I get that she's an 'artist' and needs to express herself. But I draw the line at the nappy hair. Soft cute curls would have made her look cuter.

Okay... I'm honestly at a loss of words. I don't know where to start. But I'm sure I can try. Lol. Firstly Riri, you should have worn a bra. Lingerie can make a girl feel sexy. No! I should just say: Robyn Rihanna Fenty, give BACK your grandma's clothes! Shame on you!
